Stonewashed Linen Napkins, Set of 4

The European flax linen is stonewashed before sewing, which breaks in the fibers so the napkins feel soft and slightly crinkled right from the first meal. Linen is naturally absorbent and dries quickly, and it holds up well to frequent washing far better than cotton blends. Mitered corners help the hems lay flat.

Machine wash warm with similar colors, then tumble dry low or hang to dry. Skip the iron; the relaxed texture is part of the charm. For wine or oil stains, blot promptly, pretreat with a little dish soap, and wash as usual. Avoid bleach, which weakens the fibers over time.
