Proper Full Breakfast Fry-Up
Bangers, back bacon, blistered tomatoes, buttery mushrooms, beans, and fried eggs all land on one hot plate at the same moment. The trick is a sensible order of operations and a low oven that holds everything warm while the eggs finish.

Method
-
Heat the oven to 200F and put in 2 plates and a baking sheet to warm.
-
Brown the sausages in the oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat for 15 to 18 minutes, turning often, until evenly bronzed and cooked to 160F inside. Move them to the warm sheet in the oven.
-
Fry the bacon and black pudding in the sausage fat for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until the bacon edges crisp, and add to the oven.
-
Lay the tomatoes cut-side down in the pan with 1 tablespoon butter and sear for 3 minutes without moving them, then push them aside and add the mushrooms, cooking for 5 minutes until browned and their liquid has evaporated. Season both well.
-
Meanwhile, warm the beans in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, and make the toast.
-
Wipe out the skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium-low heat, and fry the eggs for 3 to 4 minutes, basting the whites with hot butter until set.
-
Arrange everything on the warm plates and serve at once with the toast.
Zest note from the test kitchen
Cook the sausages low and slow rather than blasting them; high heat splits the casings and leaves pink centers under burnt skin, while patient heat renders the fat you need for everything else.
